 About The New York City 100: Centennial Weekend on- June 21, 1998

Great Success!- 
In celebration of the Centennial of New York City, The Richmond Hill Historical Society organized a wonderful event for the residents of Richmond Hill and for any one else who attended.  The turnout was so large that there had to be two groups for the walking tours. With beautiful weather there was also an enjoyable picnic and games for children to play. 

Thanks to all of our members for making this a memorable event! 

Location- 
The celebration began at the Buddy Monument at 12:00 Noon; and the walking tours began at 12:30 PM. The tour took about 2 easy hours. Afterwards all gatherd again at the Buddy Monument for refreshments. There was food to eat, neighbors to meet, games for children to play, and stories of our Victorian heritage to share!
