The marketing of Richmond Hill: the developer's brochure for the auction of lots in 1872. Oliver B. Fowler, an old friend of Albon P. Man, became the agent in charge of selling lots in the new development and used this map to acquaint people with the location of the property. Between April 1869 and the end of 1872 there were regular auctions of lots, complete with free railroad tickets, military bands and free food.
